Anthi Karatrantou is a Researcher and Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Department of Primary Education, University of Patras. She is a Physicists with a PhD in Medical Informatics, a MSc in Medical Physics, a MSc in ‘Information Technology in Education‘ and a Postgraduate Specialization in ‘Open and Distance Education’. Her teaching experience includes teaching in Higher Education (Hellenic Open University-H.O.U., School of Pedagogical and Technological Education-ASPAITE, Technological Educational Institute Patras, Department of Primary Education University of Patras), in Adult Education and in Teacher Training. Her research interests focus on the design, development and evaluation of educational software, educational technology, applications of ICT in education, Educational Robotics, STEM Education, e-learning and in Medical Informatics as well. She is a research fellow of Medical School of University of Patras (Medical Physics and Medical Informatics Laboratory), Department of Primary Education of University of Patras (Computers and Educational Technology Laboratory), School of Pedagogical and Technological Education–ASPAITE, Hellenic Open University-H.O.U. Her research activities include participation in 21 National and European research projects in the field on Medical Informatics and in the field of ICT in Education. She is member of the authors’ group of one (1) Book, editor for the compatibility with the O.D.L. for two (2) books, co-author of four (4) book chapters. She is author of 19 publications in International and National journals and 70 publications in International and National conference proceedings.
