More than 170 participants gathered information on 20 November 2018 about innovative applications of intelligent systems and their enormous potential for economic development. Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Nejdl, Director of the L3S Research Centre, opened the full-day event in the atrium of the main building of Leibniz Universität Hannover. The greetings from Stefan Muhle, State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economic Affairs, Lord Mayor Stefan Schostok and the President of Leibniz University, Prof. Dr. Volker Epping, demonstrated the great importance of this topic in politics, business and science in Lower Saxony. Until 17:30 there was an informative program with lectures on scientific basics and economic applications as well as discussions and the possibility to establish contacts. At the “Marketplace of Opportunities”, 18 innovative start-ups and companies such as VW and HDI presented their solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. In addition, scientists presented research projects and cooperation projects with companies in this field. In this context, SlideWiki was presented at the booth of TIB by Alexandra Garatzogianni.
