On Friday, the 28th September 2018, the ASPETE research team as external subcontracted partner of the SlideWiki project, contributed to the European Researcher’s Night activities organized by the National Technical University of Athens. ASPETE participated in the event with a poster entitled “Collaborative content authoring: developing WebQuests using SlideWiki”. This poster was presenting the trial conducted by ASPETE regarding the potential of Slidewiki for collaborative learning in teacher education. Moreover, the research team had a laptop on the spot and demonstrated SlideWiki to the visitors of the event.
The European Researchers’ Night is held at the same time in around 300 cities across Europe on the last Friday of September. The night is, in fact, a long-standing EU initiative aimed at popularizing science, raising awareness of its importance in society and placing special emphasis on the importance of scientific and research work. For researchers, the event offers an excellent opportunity to exhibit their work to interested audience. Since it is open to public, Researchers’ Night provided the ASPETE research team with an exceptional channel to present their research and disseminate SlideWiki in wider audience.
