The University of Sousse in Tunisia is one of the subcontracted partners for the external trials of the SlideWiki platform. In this interview, we feature Dr. Imed Eddine Bennour and we exchange on his experience with the SlideWiki trials and platform, as well as the plans of his university in terms of using OER, OCW and SlideWiki beyond the duration of the trials.
- SlideWiki, an EU-funded project, enables the collaborative creation of free teaching and learning materials. These include, for instance, slide sets, lecture notes and course content. What is special about this platform?
What is special about the SlideWiki platform is the simplicity of the user interface, the platform’s independence and the fact that it is online.
- According to your opinion, which are the target groups that can best benefit from using the SlideWiki platform?
The target groups that can best benefit from using the SlideWiki platform are groups of teachers preparing high-quality learning materials and apprentices who are not enrolled in any institution will take advantage of the free access to Educational Resources as well as the access to other students’ feedbacks and comments.
- How do you evaluate the importance of Open Course Ware and Open Educational Resources for all educational levels?
We believe that Open Course Ware and Open Educational Resources will contribute to the development of new teaching -learning approaches
- How does your organization plan to use the SlideWiki platform beyond the duration of the project?
Our organization plans to use the SlideWiki platform beyond the duration of the project by setting up groups of teachers from different institutes of our university, and preparing common educational resources.
